Waxwork stars of Madame Tussauds queue outside the attraction ahead of its reopening

Bumping into just one of them on the street would be a surprise, so you can understand this dog walker’s shock when she found Donald Trump, the Duchess of Sussex and Taylor Swift standing side by side in central London.

Also hanging around were Prince Harry, Victoria Beckham and BeyoncĂ©… or rather their waxwork images.

They were all in a socially-distanced queue – a promotional stunt for the reopening of Madame Tussauds this weekend.

Waxworks of the Queen – who was having her make-up reapplied – and Boris Johnson were also stood outside the museum in Marylebone.

‘There’ll be temperature checks as they enter as well.

‘And they’ll be able to see our staff who are wearing facemasks as well.

‘We’ve also limited capacity to ensure that we can make sure that there’s social distancing as we go through the attraction.’
