NewsColony Huge hail lashes parts of Queensland amid severe thunderstorms Parts of Queensland are being hit by severe storms this afternoon, with giant hail hitting the Capricornia region. A warning is in place for parts of the Central Coast, Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfield districts, including Rockhampton, Gladstone and Yeppoon, the Bureau of Meteorology said. Already, tennis ball to baseball seized hail has been reported near Rockhampton. Damaging winds are also forecast over the coming hours. Large hail has fallen in Rockhampton.
