NewsColony Hilarious moment Elsie the golden retriever rolls over and plays dead A golden retriever who made headlines last week for playing dead has once again been caught refusing to let her owner take her home. Hilarious footage showed Elsie defiantly plonking herself down on the ground on the Gold Coast as her owner, Mike Cook, pulled her lead in a bid to get her on the move after their walk on Wednesday.  The stubborn golden retriever laid on her back with her paws in the air, while Mr Cook tried to gently tug on her leg. But his attempts were to no avail, and Elsie continued to play dead.
