Don’t worry. The feeling passed quickly enough and I’m well over it now. But, let’s face it, the gods of fate could hardly have picked a crueller moment in history at which to shower the poor chap with his colossal windfall. In normal times, I bet he’d have been straight on the blower to the smartest restaurant in town to organise a slap-up celebration for his friends and relations.
