NewsColony Man, Woman Shot Near 43rd Street And Lake Shore Drive CHICAGO (CBS) — A man and woman were shot late Thursday afternoon while driving near 43rd Street and Lake Shore Drive. Police said a car pulled up alongside the vehicle the man and woman were in, and somebody inside started shooting. The 22-yrear-old woman was shot in the back, while the 19-year-old man was shot in the shoulder, police said. They tried driving themselves to the hospital, but stopped near 56th Street and Ellis Avenue in the middle of the University of Chicago campus. Both were then taken by ambulance to the University of Chicago Medical in unknown conditions. Off-Duty Firefighter Shot, Wounded In Fernwood

NewsColony Off-Duty Firefighter Shot, Wounded In Fernwood CHICAGO (CBS) — An off-duty firefighter was shot and wounded Thursday evening in the Fernwood neighborhood, police said. The Chicago Fire Department firefighter was shot at 6:42 p.m. at 99th Street and Yale Avenue, police said. Police said the 54-year-old victim was in an alley behind Yale Avenue when he was approached by a man who took out a handgun and fired shots. The victim was struck once in the ankle, calf, and buttocks, police said. The firefighter was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was reported in good condition, police sad. A person of interest was being questioned by Area Two detectives Thursday night, police said. A weapon was recovered at the scene. NewsColony Wildlife worker dubbed Tiger King of Instagram is filmed punching a lion cub  An Instagram star who shares terrifying videos of himself playing with lions is being investigated for alleged animal cruelty after he was filmed punching one of his cubs.
