Oleksandr Usyk vs Derek Chisora: Fight card, boxing live stream, start time, betting odds and prediction

O

leksandr Usyk and Derek Chisora will finally go head to head in hotly anticipated heavyweight main event clash at Wembley Arena on Saturday night.

The pair were originally due to lock horns in May, only for the bout to be postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic that brought boxing and the wider sporting world to a standstill.

The highly dangerous and skilled Usyk is seeking to maintain his status as the mandatory challenger for Anthony Joshua’s WBO belt.

However, Ukraine’s undefeated and former undisputed cruiserweight world champion – who also won Olympic, World and European gold as an amateur – is likely to be given a stern test by the battle-hardened and hugely experienced Chisora, who has racked up three wins since his second defeat to Dillian Whyte in December 2018.

There are also plenty of intriguing match-ups on the undercard, with Lee Selby in action in an IBF lightweight eliminator and Savannah Marshall and Hannah Rankin facing off in their rescheduled bout for the women’s WBO middleweight crown.

Card in full

  • Oleksandr Usyk vs Derek Chisora
  • Lee Selby vs George Kambosos Jr (final eliminator for IBF lightweight title)
  • Savannah Marshall vs Hannah Rankin (for vacant WBO middleweight title)
  • Tommy McCarthy vs Bilal Laggoune (for vacant European cruiserweight title)
  • Amy Timlin vs Carly Skelly (for vacant Commonwealth super-bantamweight title)
  • Ramla Ali vs Eva Hubmeyer

Date, start time and venue

Usyk vs Chisora takes place at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Saturday, October 31 2020. The action gets under way at 7pm GMT.

Ring walks for the main event are expected at around 10pm.

How to watch

The card will be televised live on Sky Box Office, with the televised action due to start at 7pm.

Fight prediction

Even at 36, Chisora should never be underestimated and still possesses both the power and heart necessary to cause real problems to any heavyweight.

However, Usyk is a real class operator and should claim a wide points decision as he looks to make a big statement in Joshua’s back yard.

Betting odds

  • Usyk to win: 1/5
  • Chisora to win: 5/1
  • Draw: 49/1
  • Usyk points: 6/4

The man, who was identified as Jayden, did not have a place to live while waiting for the Housing Board (HDB) to allocate him a rental flat. In a Facebook post on Mummy Yummy Singapore’s page on Wednesday (Dec 16), the volunteers said: “We used our $100 Rediscover Singapore vouchers to redeem hotel stay for him and successfully booked 9 days worth of stay at 3 days per voucher.” They added that they were unable to book a longer stay because of higher hotel rates over Christmas and New Year. The volunteers hoped that they would be able to bridge Jayden’s stay until he got a flat. “Thanks our government for giving us these vouchers which in return we can put them to good use for people in need,” th...

Disabled people are still vulnerable, even as COVID-19 normalizes their ‘special’ needs NewsColony Perhaps it’s appropriate that public notices of the COVID-19 crisis began as an ableist cruelty. Health officials assured the nation that only the elderly and those with chronic health conditions would be seriously affected; most Americans (i.e., the normal people) would have only mild symptoms and be fine. x A friendly reminder: people who will be high-risk patients if we get coronavirus can hear you when you reassure everyone we’re the only ones who might die. â€Â” Alexandra Brodsky (@azbrodsky) February 29, 2020 Soon after the announcement of those assurances, the likelihood of high-risk people surviving was further limited by the people more likely to be fine. Shopping frenzies cleared stores of essential supplies needed everyday by many disabled people, like thermometers, hand wipes, masks, and IV infusion supplies. Accustomed to their needs ...
