Actress Naomi Watts has offered a look at her health and beauty regime, and revealed the best piece of beauty advice she has ever been given.

The 52-year-old said while she sometimes does wake up and wish she didn’t have ‘lines around my mouth or chin’, she has realised that with a few wrinkles comes a much ‘sturdier mind’ – and a woman who knows what suits her skin and her face.

‘I just think you have to embrace the aging process. There are going to be good days, and there are going to be bad days,’ Naomi told Who What Wear

The best piece of advice the Hollywood actress said she has ever been given is that it’s vital to drink at least two litres of water each day and she should make sure she gets eight hours of sleep a night.

 ‘I can tell right away if I’ve had a good night’s sleep and if I drank the right amount of water the day before,’ Naomi told the publication. 

‘If I don’t do well on both of those things, it absolutely manifests in my skin.’

Naomi said she is religious about getting facials every few months, taking her makeup off and wearing sunscreen every day.

What are Naomi Watts’ favourite beauty products?

But she revealed she doesn’t spend hours and hours doing her skincare and makeup each day even if she’s going out –  and instead prefers prefers a simple ‘five-minute face’ approach. 

When she can, Naomi will give her ‘skin a break’ and just apply Josh Rosebrook’s Nutrient Day Cream SPF30.

Then, if she needs a little coverage, she’ll add Beautycounter’s Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage to any red areas.

‘I love lipstick, and Beautycounter makes one called Orchid that I also like to use on my cheeks,’ Naomi said.

Aside from this, the 52-year-old only tends to her eyebrows – either applying a little dye or filling them in with a pencil and brow gel.

When it comes to her well-being secrets, Naomi said she is a fan of ‘movement classes’ which engage both the body, mind and spirit.

She also takes supplements and boosters from the Australian brand The Beauty Chef, including the Hydration and Collagen boosters which she adds to her water. 

‘I’m usually starving by 11 am. I might make a green smoothie and add the Glow Powder from The Beauty Chef and have a big glass of water with a dash of their Hydration or Collagen Boost,’ Naomi said previously.

She added that drinking plenty of water with the hydrating boosters is the easiest way to get her skin primed and looking its best before events.
