NewsColony Girl, 3, seriously injured in Englewood shooting, Chicago fire officials say CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago fire officials said a 3-year-old girl was critically injured in a shooting in Englewood Tuesday evening. The shooting happened at West 70th Street and South Damen Avenue a little after 8 p.m. Chicago confirmed officers had responded to the scene, but did not confirm any details about any victims of the shooting. Fire officials said the girl was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Once there, her condition was upgraded to serious but stable. No further details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting have been released. Police and fire officials have not said whether the girl is the only victim or if more people were hurt. NewsColony NSW to ban anyone from Victorian coronavirus hotspots NSW has announced that anyone travelling into the state from Victorian hotspots could be fined $11,000 or jailed. Health Minister Brad Hazzard will sign a public health order later today prohibiting anyone from 10 postcodes in the state from entering NSW. “Victorians living in virus hotspots have to take the Victorian and NSW health orders seriously and should be very aware that NSW will impose penalties if they seek to leave hotspot suburbs to enter NSW,” Mr Hazzard said. She thought about being a gun owner for years but said recent cases of unjust killings of Black people at the hands of police, like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, prompted her to take action. “I don’t feel protected by those put in place to protect me, so I wanted to protect myself,” said Langhorne.
