Worrying coronavirus cluster in Sydney’s CBD grows as nine new cases are found

New South Wales has confirmed nine new coronavirus cases, including five more in a new Sydney CBD cluster. 

Four of the cases are close contacts of previous cases.

Of the new infections, three attended the City Tattersalls Club gym on Pitt Street which means there are now eight cases linked to the CBD cluster. 

The number of active cases in NSW has risen to 74.

The central Sydney outbreak comes as six patients are treated in intensive care across the state.
