A PERVERT who had hundreds of child abuse videos wants to run a model aircraft club — for kids.

Nicholas Blackwell — a self-confessed “huge pervert” — wants planning consent for his clubhouse.

The pervert wants consent from West Oxfordshire district council to run a model aircraft club for kids

He was convicted three years ago for having 227 illegal videos which featured the rape of children as young as four.

He was given a 16-month suspended sentence at Gloucester crown court and rehabilitation.

The prosecution said when police raided his home he told them: “Officers, I am a huge pervert. I have done this.”

One local dad, who asked not to be identified, said: ‘That he even has the brass neck to try this shows breath-taking arrogance.”

“With his criminal history it will be an outrage if he’s allowed to run a club involving kids.”

Blackwell, 64, wants retrospective consent from West Oxfordshire district council to avoid having to shut his Shilton Model Flying Club HQ in a redundant Cotswolds barn.

Blackwell, of Cirencester, told The Sun On Sunday his neighbours were running a hate campaign against him.

He said: “I have no intention of teaching kids how to fly model planes unless Johnny comes along with his dad and wants to learn.”

‘Then I’d give him to one of the others. This is just one resident stirring it up.”
