JESSIE Wallace has joked she is “coronavirus ready” as she clutches a packet of Dettol wipes in place of a clutch bag.

The EastEnders’ star shared a selfie on Wednesday of her all dolled up and looking ready for a night out on the town, and she captioned the snap: “Clutch bag for this evening”.

Her soap co-stars Emma Barton and Louisa Lyttle all jumped in to commend her for the smart choice of accessory, with Emma commenting: “Great look girl!!!!”

Louisa and Lacey Turner both shared laughing emojis while one fan suggested that if the Kat Moon actress sold her packet on “eBay you’ll be able to buy a Vivienne Westwood the rate they are going”.

The World Health Organisation officials have warned national governments its time for aggressive action as the outbreak was declared a pandemic.

The White House is reportedly considering declaring a national disaster in the US as part of efforts to address the spread of the coronavirus; the move would unlock new funding streams, allow hourly workers to be paid sick leave, and extend tax-filing deadlines by three months.

Also on Wednesday, Ireland confirmed nine new cases of coronavirus on the same day the country’s first patient died.

Denmark is to close all schools and universities for two weeks in a bid to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the country’s prime minister has announced while Italy is now on total lockdown Italy due to the spread of the killer bug.

Italy now has more than 12,000 cases of coronavirus, and today the death toll rose by 196 to 827.
