Sarah Hyland calls Wells Adams her ‘permanent sunshine’ amid ‘no wedding plans’ due to COVID-19

Sarah Hyland got engaged to Bachelor Nation star Wells Adams in July of 2019.

And the 29-year-old Modern Family actress paid homage to ‘the man that is [her] permanent sunshine’ by sharing a portrait taken during their engagement party last year.

‘Tongues out and a** grabs… but only if you’re at home,’ captioned Hyland, who has been in lockdown with Adams in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In the picture – seen by her 7.3million followers – Hyland and Adams had their tongues out as they posed for the camera.

Sarah donned a figure-hugging white strapless dress, while Wells suited up for the occasion in a beige two piece and a crisp, white button down.

The couple each sported sunglasses for the photo as they held onto one another lovingly.

On Friday, Wells revealed in a virtual interview with Access Hollywood that him and Hyland currently have ‘no wedding plans’ due to COVID-19.

‘There are no wedding plans. The thought was that we’d start thinking about that around this time, but now this is happening. What’s the point of even trying to get something solidified with everything being so up in the air?’

Attempting to see the bright side of quarantine, Wells admitted that it has allowed him and Sarah to ‘spend a lot of quality time together.’

Access that asked Adams if he and Sarah would ever consider having a ‘Zoom wedding.’

‘No. I would not do that. If [the pandemic] lasts really, really long then I think we might do like a really small backyard thing, but that’s probably not going to happen.’

Wells jokes that ‘there [are] too many ABC famous personalities that need to give us gifts.’

He added: ‘Ty Burrell, I need a new fly fishing rod. And Chris Harrison, I need some crystal plate ware.’

In terms of an ideal wedding destination, Wells said that him and Hyland ‘have gone through all the options, but have not really decided on anything yet.’

Meanwhile, Sarah previously confessed she had discussed marriage with Wells just ‘four days after’ they had started dating.

She gushed: ‘I asked him when he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend. I’m impatient. We were talking about what kinds of weddings we wanted four days after we made things official. I hate that typical cliché of ‘when you know, you know,’ but it’s so f***ing true. At least it was for me.’

In terms of the couple’s future family, Wells said in the past that he ‘wants a family’ being that he ‘is the youngest of five [children].’

‘[Sarah wants a family] as well but we’re both super career oriented and driven right now so that’s not front of mind. It will happen down the line. I’m lucky enough that she’s a lot younger than I am so I don’t think she’s in any hurry,’ he explained.

‘If she was my age, I think she would probably have a different thought about that.’
