Pregnant Katy Perry Shows Off Baby Bump During Beach Day With Orlando Bloom

Bump ahead! Katy Perry, who is pregnant with her first child, displayed her growing baby bump while at the beach with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

The singer, 35, and the actor, 43, hit the sand in Santa Barbara, California, on Sunday, May 24, while celebrating Memorial Day weekend. The couple spent time with her father, Keith Hudson, during the outing.

Perry — accompanied by her dog, Nugget — sported a floral swimsuit as well as a sun hat, flip-flops and sunglasses. Bloom, for his part, went shirtless, wearing black shorts and a hat as he collected toys for the beach.

The American Idol judge revealed in March that she and the Carnival Row star are expecting their first child together. Weeks later, she shared the sex of the baby. “It’s a girl,” she gushed via Instagram in April.

Us Weekly exclusively reported in April that Perry and Bloom, who announced their engagement in February 2019, are “having some ups and downs” in their relationship. “Katy is dealing with the nerves of being a first-time parent, and Orlando is stressing about having a baby in their lives at this time,” a source revealed. The insider added that the duo’s dynamic “has changed since she got pregnant.”

Although the pair are dealing with the altered state of their romance, the Grammy nominee “is overjoyed and elated that she is pregnant,” according to the source. “She’s always wanted to be a mom.”

Perry acknowledged earlier this month that the quarantine caused by the coronavirus pandemic made her question the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s resolve. “He’s seen it all and, God bless him, he’s still here, which is amazing and commendable because I have definitely tested him,” she admitted on SiriusXM’s Hits 1 n chill. “[I’ve] been like, ‘Oh, yeah? Oh, yeah, you think you can handle me? Let’s see it.’”

Bloom, meanwhile, previously relayed his excitement to become a father for the second time (he already shares son Flynn, 9, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr). While sharing an Instagram photo of the “Daisies” singer and her bump in March, he wrote, “My babies blooming.”
